Do make sure you only feed your body with what is rigorously halal, tayyib (pure and wholesome), and untainted with the disobedience of God for ultimately it affects your soul and the souls of your loved ones.
“There are two blessings which many people waste: health and free time.”
Sahih al-Bukhari
Our Health, Planet, Time, Bodies, Families are all Blessings.
Time to Start Taking Care of Our Blessings from Allah (SWT)
“And We send down the Quran that which is healing and mercy for the believers…” (Quran 17:82)
Our religion is beautiful. Allah (SWT) has told us how to live our lives to optimize mind, body and soul. By following social norms we forget the lines drawn my Allah (SWT)…leading us down the road to chronic illness, planet destruction and even pandemics.
And when I am ill, it is He who cures me (Quran 26:80)

“I Feel Like Allah Created Me to Educate and Empower the World to Live Healthier Lives According to Quran and Sunnah”
Ibn ‘Umar (RAA) narrated, ‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to supplicate saying,
“O Allah! I seek refuge in you from the withholding of your favor, the decline of the good health you have given, the suddenness of your vengeance and from all forms of your wrath.” Related by Muslim.
– We see here that this dua reminds us that the good health is that which has been give to us by Allah. If that is the case, we should remember that that which has been given to us by Allah is a trust (Amanah) that, if we neglect it, could be detrimental to us in this life and in the next.
Just as we make dua for good health and a good living which is a manifestation of Allah’s favor; we should know that the healthy natural foods that he has placed on this Earth for us is a favor from him as well… the healthy natural foods! This is exactly what Allah orders us to eat from when he mentions:
O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is] lawful and pure and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy. (Quran 2:168)
This was also what one of the sleepers of the Cave (kahf) was ordered to retrieve from the village when they woke up:
…They said, “Your Lord is most knowing of how long you remained. So send one of you with this silver coin of yours to the city and let him look to which is the best of food and bring you provision from it and let him be cautious. And let no one be aware of you. (Quran 18:19)
“The best of food” here has been understood to mean the purest of foods, not the most extravagant.”
